Hollyoaks SPOILER: Diane O’Connor’s life hangs in the balance as she’s hit by the Maaliks in dramatic tunnel stunt… after she discovers fugitive Harry tied up in the back of husband Tony’s car

She only recently returned to the village after a brief break, as actress Alex Fletcher took some time away from the soap for her maternity leave.

But it seems Hollyoaks’ Diane O’Connor could be swiftly departing the soap once again, as her life is left hanging in the balance following a terrifying tunnel stunt.

In scenes aired during Monday’s E4 first look episode, Diane is hit by the Maalik family’s speeding car, as she lashes out at her husband Tony for his role in helping fugitive son Harry escape the police.

In the dramatic scenes, Diane began to hear noises coming from the boot of the car as she and Tony drove to visit her sister.

As Diane opened the boot she discovered Harry hidden inside, hiding from the police after being accused of murdering Amy Barnes.

Despite Tony begging Diane to keep quiet on his role in helping Harry escape the authorities, she furiously declared her plans to call the police.
